Vibrio cholerae (Primary bacteremia)

A 51-year-old Thai woman, gastric cancer with metastasis, on PICC line for chemotherapy, developed acute fever without neutropenia. Diagnosis – Primary bacteremia (not catheter-related) The following pictures are the results of her hemoculture. Hemoculture – Vibrio cholerae Vibrio cholerae movement – Fresh smear from broth culture Remark: Movement of Vibrio cholerae from broth culture is markedly slower than typical “shooting star”, which can be seen in fresh stool of patients with diarrhea form cholera. write an essay for me
